Stojic Maintenance & Repair
About this pro
He was on time and did a great job! Also, he has great people skills.Sep 18, 2018Verified
I had a person from Stojic Maintenance & Repair come to replace a water main valve that leaked when turned on and off. I was disappointed in the job that was done for several reasons. The major reason being that our new carpet and pad was soaked and we didn't realize until hours later. I had asked repeatedly asked if he needed a towel and was told no (I would have put a tarp down if I had realized how bad the damage would be). He didn't tell me that any water had leaked onto the carpet. I was also disappointed in the price jump from the estimated $140 to $430 that I was charged. Last, I waited two hours from the time he said he was on his way to when he actually arrived. Overall it was a frustrating and expensive experience.Jun 2, 2018VerifiedDavid S.'s reply
Ashley, I understand why you feel the way you do and I am deeply sorry. It’s hard to know when a job is going to be a larger fix then expected and this was definitely the case with your plumbing repair. The Pressure reducing valve (an expensive and crucial plumbing piece) was leaking and needed to be replaced in addition to the original shut off valve that was leaking so anyone who worked on this would have run into the same issue. In regards to the water, I honestly did not realize it was that wet otherwise I definitely would have said something about it. Again I apologize for any inconvenience and If there is anything I can do, please let me know. Thank you, David

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I charge 55 dollars per hour for almost all my services, very few require special equipment and may cost a little bit more per hour for maintaining that equipment.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Establishing a relationship with my customers is key. Making sure they feel comfortable hiring me and having me work in/around their home is very important and I strive to keep things lively and fun. No one wants to work with a boring guy! So I have fun doing what I do, and I make sure it’s done exactly the way my customers want it done.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Several years of hands on training from a general contractor himself. I went to school for hvac and a lot of the training applies with handyman work.
