FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically don't charge a percentage of the project or mark-up any furnishings like some designers - I prefer transparency and I feel that is best accomplished with a hourly rate when project scope is clearly defined. If a client prefers a lump sum, I can arrange that. My clients can be certain I am not persuading them to use a certain product or purchase certain items because of the mark-up I would receive.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet in person to define the project scope and understand the needs and personality of my client. Most often this is also a good time to take measurements of a space and review concept images or ideas.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my BS in Interior Design at Utah State University. I also obtained a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accreditation as a design professional.
