Joe painted the entire interior of house, including ceilings, doors and walls. He had also given me a quote to refinish the kitchen base cabinets. First off, let me just say I know how nerve wrecking it is to make a decision on who to hire. I received 5 quotes back from Thumbtack and Joe's quote was by far the lowest. I actually questioned whether or not he would do a great job since was a lot lower than the other quotes. I had him meet me in person at the house and he confirmed the price. I immediately felt at ease. Joe is actually a super nice guy and honest! After looking at the cabinets, he told me it probably wasn't worth the expense of refinishing them since they were cheap cabinets. I really appreciated the honesty as that is a rare quality. He worked really hard at getting the entire house painted in a week. He does also seem very knowledeable about a lot things. Everyone needs a go to guy/handyman on their speed dial. DO NOT hire this guy to install garage door opener! He promised to me that he could install the opener and make it work. But after wasting a whole day, he still couldn't follow the user manual and install it incorrectly. Shown as picture #1.
He did come over again to fix it, but the door is still not opening because the beam and the lifter are not lined up (picture #3). And he rudely denied the correct way to install it.

This client didn't want to follow the manual. Just wanted to follow pictures from the Internet. Didn't want to hear my explanation for the door not wanting to open the right way. The job was done the first time I was out there he wasn't satisfied with the way it looked. Client didn't have no respect for the contractor multiple times he present himself talking to me in his underwear. With all my prior work all my clients have been satisfied with my work.
