This wouldn't be a 4-star review if it wasn't for quality. Guys showed up at early end of window, but took forever to move me. I've paid by the hour before and moved A LOT the last 10+ years, but this was the most expensive / most time consuming move. I have the least amount of stuff I've ever moved and only moved 3 blocks. I had everything packed but glasses, dishes and some other kitchen stuff. I just wish it would have been more speedy! Also since I had requested 3 guys and only 2 came. Last time 1 guy moved me in and only took 45-minutes. Not sure why this took 5 hours...May 1, 2018Verified

I had a very large move and they were very responsive about bringing additional men to the job, so that it could all be done in one day. They wrapped every piece of furniture and were very careful with my boxes. The men had been trained to watch their language and to respond courteously. The office people will very, very accommodating and the follow up was great. I expect the unpacking will take a while, but am so relieved to have this done.Dec 19, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Move Central bills hourly for local moves (3 hours min) and provides flat rates for long distance moves. Every move is unique and different, so please give us a call and we'll be able to determine the manpower you need.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?In order to provide with a quote, Move Central needs to ask some basic questions, like the zip codes moving from and moving to, how many bedrooms and how many square feet is the residence moving from? Is packing service required? Is storage in transit or long term storage needed? If there are stairs or elevators at the pick up or drop locations and what is the walking distance to from the truck to the residence? Usually, as soon as we get these answers, we are able to derive recommendations for how many movers and trucks are needed to complete the job efficiently. For residences of 2500+ sqf, we need to send one of our estimators for a free onsite estimate.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?From 2010-2012 I worked as the president for the San Diego branch of another moving company with multiple locations. Since 2012 I've been running Move Central, Inc and we are the highly rated online on Yelp and other review sites.
