FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system is simple, for personal training I charge by the session. For couples it is also by the hour, but the price is split between the two training with me. It's actually much cheaper for the clients too. The client decides on the number of sessions in a four week period then pays for that four weeks up front at the conclusion of the fit test. Client can cancel within 24 hours and not be charged, same goes for family emergencies. The pricing system for my small group classes mornings and evenings is about the same, the only difference is for classes you pay on the MindBody website. For personal training you pay in person.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Most of my client are word of mouth. Someone I train or trained sees the amazing results on my clients. But be it word of mouth or someone walking past my studio my process is the same, always be professional, courteous and above all, authentic with each person. The next step is sitting down listening and getting to know the whats, When and Whys. Then there's the fit-test to get a real time overview of what level of fitness the person is at and what if any physical limitations she/he might have. Once all this is down I design a program that fits that clients needs and goal. Then the real fun begins...training with some humor and fun mixed in.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In the beginning I was certified just as a personal trainer, but when I realized my calling was working with woman I extended my knowledge because working with women is very different from working with men. So I attend workshops, took classes and studied hard. Today I am now not only a certified personal trainer I'm also a certified per-post natal fitness specialist. But I didn't stop there, as an former high school and college athlete I know all to well about injuries. So I worked as a certified personal trainer at MontClair Physical Therapy for 2 years, then became a certified Post Injury Rehab Specialist. I am very good at what I do not because of the certification's, but because I absolutely love what I do and the lives I have changed for the better.
