- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will begin with an introductory email and set up a time to continue the conversation via phone or with a detailed email questionnaire. During this information-gathering conversation, I'll ask you questions that will help me to paint a picture of the image you wish to project to potential readers of your resume and either review/edit or re-write your resume with your career goal in mind. Once we have that conversation/email exchange, I'll get to work and return your updated or new resume to you for your review in about a week's time (we'll discuss scheduling on our first call; as a note, I do not do last-minute turnarounds). After you review and send me any additional notes for edits, I'll review again, make the final changes, and send back to you for edits. We may or may not repeat the process for a second round of edits, but once that final round is completed, I'll send the resume back and it's yours. The timeline of the process depends on our speed of communication and the number of edits (between 0-2) we need to do. Assuming it happens in a timely manner, the timeline for resume work ONLY (i.e., cover letters and thank you notes may add a few days) is between 1-3 weeks. Please note that we'll be in touch throughout the duration, so I'll keep you updated on the ETA. I often come in ahead of schedule, but I don't make guarantees!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a masters degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelors degree (cum laude) from Northwestern University, where over 70 percent of my classes were writing-focused. I hold certification as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coach Federation as well as certification in Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance from Philosophy IB and American University.
