FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I try to offer a sliding scale whenever possible so that clients can select pricing based on an earnest ability to pay. I'm surprised to find clients who compensate me above my sliding scale because they find so much value from coaching.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with a consultation session by phone, over the internet, or in person. We can quickly discern whether we are a good fit. Once a relationship is established, we can decide how best to work together from there. Coaching is client-directed. It is the client's time and work. I aspire to be a trusted partner, supporter, and encourager. The client's successes and joys are my successes and joys.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Certified Professional with the International Enneagram Association. I hold a masters degree in Buddhist Studies from the Graduate Theological Union and a Certificate in Buddhist Chaplaincy from the Institute of Buddhist Studies. Years of a rigorous spiritual practice in various Buddhist traditions has provided much wisdom to share from personal experience. I am also an interfaith chaplain and Chaplain Trainer at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, where I provide compassionate care to people in all states of difficulty and grief. I am ordained Buddhist Dharma Leader in lineage of Anam Thubten and an ordained minister of the Metropolitan Community Church, a progressive denomination celebrating queer spirituality. All of my coaching work is open and affirming, and does not depend upon any particular faith background. Finally, I am an attorney with over 15 years of experience working with families in conflict -- mostly wills, trusts, and probate where family drama can get very heated! Drawing on my work as an attorney and mediator, I offer sensitive, holistic conflict resolution.
