I've wanted to learn the drums since I was a kid, but my parents bought me a stupid clarinet instead. So naturally I gave it up after a year, completely lost interest in playing music, and gave up on my rock star dreams.
Not entirely true, I've had a few musical friends here and there try to show me a few things but nothing ever stuck.
I'm just getting started on lessons with Tom and I couldn't be more excited about where this adventure is taking me. In just the first lesson I was playing songs with him. He's incredibly enthusiastic, patient, professional but casual, encouraging, and just a lot of fun. I definitely don't feel like I'm sitting in a classroom, he explains things in ways that are easy for my incredibly not musical brain (yet at least) to understand and makes you feel very comfortable.
He's not only an incredible musician but he respects the instrument and what he does and is just all in all an incredible teacher.

Thomas is an experienced professional with insights into a variety of training styles. I utilized Thomas for lessons on the drum kit. He is comprehensive in his overall approach to teaching music (both theory and practice) and is great at communicating where students need to be headed towards advancement. I was impressed by his ability to ascertain my needs from day one and customizing a plan to build on my skills. I also appreciated his flexibility in working around a difficult schedule.
