FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Mural prices vary widely. Pricing is determined by location, size, level of detail/design, indoor/outdoor, cleaning & prep, materials, equipment, transportation, and time. Murals typically range from $25-45 per square foot.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to start the process discussing what the client's vision is. I believe in the power of words and I work with people (one on one or a whole team) in order to come up with spark words for the mural. Ideally we have a brainstorming session together to gain a better understanding of the scope of the project. From there, I draw up a quote and a brief run down of what the mural could entail. When we choose to move forward and want to put paint on the wall, we decide on a price and draw up a contract. Then we finalize imagery and get to work!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been an artist my whole life. One of my original abstract elephant paintings still hangs in my parents hallway. My sister always thought it was simple shapes painted in bold colors. Only recently did the elephant emerge to her! I grew up painting and always embraced it. I studied fine art at Parsons School of Design in New York City for a few years before moving to Washington State. I have been classically trained as a painter and have continued my education by exploring new mediums and ways of painting every year. In 2014 I took spray paint and muralist classes at 1AM in San Francisco. I am now also working with spray paint and am always looking to expand my practice.
