I hired Ed to install my new sink and faucet, we had a little miscommunication in the beginning about needing to drill an extra hole so he didn't have that tool, but he came back a couple days later to do it. The sink install was a little more difficult than expected, but Ed did an amazing job thinking creatively outside the box (literally!) to make it work. I now have an amazing sink and faucet! The sink clips have not been installed yet so the sink has not been caulked yet but he promised to come back and install the clips later. He also gave me some very helpful tips about running the garbage disposal when I run the dishwasher, and to run ice through the garbage disposal occasionally. I have a number of other issues I eventually want to fix with my place so I will be sure to message him for advice and have him back again. He is a talented worker and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him, not to mention he's really nice too! Update: 4/22/17 Unfortunately, the sink started leaking the same week it was installed, and Ed said he knew exactly how to fix it, but after a few messages back and forth trying to schedule a day to come back, he stopped responding. I've messaged him about once a week for a month now and he still hasn't responded, not even to say he's been really busy or that he was going to be traveling or anything. From the other reviews it does appear that he's still been doing work for others. Although Ed is a very nice guy and talented handyman, the lack of communication can make it difficult to work with him. I hate to downgrade his rating but I'm hoping he will see this update and message me back. For now, I will have to live with a leaky, unfinished sink (it's not even caulked yet).Apr 23, 2017Verified
Very friendly, but completely flaked out on me. First canceled appointment because his car was broken into; then he had to help his dad. He finally showed up the following week, took a look at things and was about to start the work. He said he had to "step out" to buy something at Home Depot and he never came back. No answered calls, texts, or Thumbtack pings. He just ghosted for no reason. WTF??May 31, 2018Verified
