- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have flat fees for planning only, setup and breakdown if decorating, and besides that, I will give out quotes on specific items in an invoice format so you can pick, choose, and prioritize as you please. Of course, I will give you recommendations to stay within budget.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a telephone or in person conversation to get an idea of what the customer is looking for and make sure I'm able to help them reach their event standards. I give them a proposal customized to their needs and hope they choose me for the job not because of my prices but because they genuinely believe I'm the right fit to execute their event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree in Sociology, and have experience working in customer service and accounting. This has boosted my skills in communication and creating proposals. I have always been highly organized and somewhat of a perfectionist. Event planning just comes naturally.
