Introduction: Hi, my name is Joshua Pollak! Thank you for considering my photography and videography services, I'm looking forward to hearing about how I can meet and exceed your expectations. Let me tell you a little bit about myself:
When I started off in 2015, I mainly did weddings (both primary and secondary shooting) and portraits, and soon took on galas as well. After a few years of learning the ropes of both the business side and the artistic side of photography, I moved to the coast and focused mainly on landscape and adventure photography, along with natural light and low light portraiture. 4 years on the coast and around the country helped me expand my abilities and the breadth of work, and in the last 2 years, I've started to focus on portraiture again, this time with an emphasis on learning artificial lighting to help round out my skills. My background is diverse, which reflects in my photography. There are aspects from each of the aforementioned disciplines that find their way into my images; this leads to images with unique color, exposure, and composition.
So you might ask "Why is Josh the right fit for what I need?". In response, I would say that the services that I offer are unique because of the flexibility, customization, and quality.
Often, I find that setting a strong, fixed schedule and location can create a stressful environment that is not conducive to a great experience with top-tier pictures. While I am happy to work with a set plan, I’m also lenient and willing to work with you. Thus, I provide travel, location, timing, and creative flexibility to create a positive and stress-free environment. At the end of the day, I want you to feel like I am working with you and not for you.
Another aspect that makes your experience with me unique is the ability to customize your shoot. While I have absolute trust in my creative abilities, I recognize that we may not see things eye to eye. Thus, throughout the planning process of the shoot, we will work together to develop the right mood and tone for your images. Through this collaborative process, we will ensure you get what you want our of our time together.
When all is said and done, there is only one thing that truly matters: the pictures themselves. My goal is to provide professional-quality photos to you consistently and without fail. I feel that my portfolio speaks to my overarching abilities as a photographer, and together we can combine your vision with my skills to create the photos that you’ve dreamed of having.
