- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Because I do so many different things I charge a flat $30 an hour except for paint. Paint is $20 an hour. Small - fix it - projects I usually do not require payment until completion, but larger projects I ask for 50% of total labor+materials as a retainer and the rest upon completion.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I come out and thoroughly assess the project by talking with the customer as well as looking at what needs to be done. Then write up a bid or estimate depending on the nature of the project. Most of the time I bid it. No unexpected costs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 13 years of on the job training. Most of that in management or running my own projects. I am attending SLCC working on my generals and currently have a 4.0
