FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Since, I am fairly new to this business I try to keep my prices pretty competitive. My hourly prices ranges from $60-$100 depending on the type of face painting requested, more details, full face painting is priced higher than smaller less detailed character cheek/arm paintings.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask customers to give me as much details about their request as possible so I know that I can provide the specific service they are requesting. Once they choose to move forward with the hiring process I send a PayPal invoice for 50% deposit to reserve their requested time and date of service. The deposit is refundable if the cancelation is made not later than 48 hours prior to the event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors of Fine Arts, so I am very comfortable with painting and blending techniques. Face painting is not very different than doing a painting on canvas, it requires color theory, blending techniques and a creativity. I have done face painting at friends parties, booths, and parties, however never as my own business, only as a helping hand and volunteer. Recently, after volunteering to face paint at a friend's daughter's birthday party, it was suggested I start my own face painting business. I love it so much that I thought it was a great idea, so here I am!
