FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is dependent on the individual needs of each student. I offer discounted packages based on how many sessions the client is interested in per week and the type of preparation services the student needs! Our services include all of the following: (1) supporting the writing process for individualized personal statements and supplemental essays; (2) college counseling and applications preparation; (3) one-on-one tutoring and test preparation for college entrance exams (ACT/SAT/GRE); and (4) individually tailored school searches for scholarship opportunities. I am also flexible on my rate depending on which services you need and offer hourly package deals for all services listed above. Please feel free to contact me for an individual quote.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always do an initial assessment of the student’s academic background during a free thirty-minute consultation to ensure future counseling sessions are tailored to meet the needs of each student. I provide a preliminary admissions survey to better understand the student’s academic and personal history as well as their unique goals. My clients often comment on my ability to form collaborative and effective relationships and connect with each student’s specific goals. More importantly, I have been recognized as a mentor not only through the application process, but as an on-going mentor for future student’s needs with career growth. Depending on the specific needs of each student, students and parents will generally purchase a discounted package for multiple services including: (1) supporting the writing process for individualized personal statements and supplemental essays; (2) college counseling and applications preparation; (3) one-on-one tutoring and preparation for college entrance exams(ACT/SAT/GRE); and (4) individually tailored school searches for scholarship opportunities. I collectively evaluate the student’s academic background and personal experiences during our initial consultation for the best instruction and strategic preparation plan for approaching the Common Application and UC apps process.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over ten years of academic and college counseling, test preparation, and improving student’s test performance and overall ACT/SAT/GRE/LSAT experience. I majored in Psychology at UCLA with a full-ride scholarship and I recently graduated from Loyola Law School and sat for the Bar Exam in 2022. I started out assisting countless colleagues and students with their undergraduate and graduate personal statement writing. Presently, I work across a host of complex legal practices, where I write up persuasive briefs for over 50 hours per week. Additionally, I have worked with several reputable tutoring companies over the years with 100+ hours of training for students with disabilities and learning difficulties. I have accrued countless hours of test preparation instruction and can provide student/parent recommendations and sample personal statements that I have written upon request. I am actively taking creative writing courses, and I have a fierce passion for creating a poetic, personal voice which helps students get into top undergraduate programs like UCLA and graduate programs including USC Business School by perfecting their personal statements and applications.
