FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For small projects such as in-home consultation the design fee is $125/hour with a three-hour minimum appointment. For larger projects a flat fee is recommended.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have an initial phone conversation with the new customer. I want to find out additional information such as a start date and to be clear about the specifics. Then I set up a 30-minute meeting at the customer’s home for a meet and greet. I review client needs and show examples of how I work. If we agree to work together then a contract describing the expectations of each party is created. Prior to any design work, the contract must be signed and a design fee paid.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
California Legislative Coalition for Interior Design (CLCID) for three years. I have over 20 years of professional interior design experience. My experience includes residential, kitchen and bath, model homes and real estate staging. I have a BA in Interior Design and am a CKBD with the NKBA (Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer with the National Kitchen and Bath Association). In addition, I continually update my education through college courses, mainly in art, architecture and design.
