Greg was going to replace the treads and risers on my front stairs (wood). Instead he created a masterpiece. Despite running into several problems with rotten stringers and termite damage, Greg still remained close to the estimated time they would take to repair. I cannot say I was not forewarned about unseen issues. The impressive thing is Greg does not just tell you about them, he shows them to you, and gives you the pros and cons of fixing the problems or leaving them alone. He and I went to the lumber store where he showed me various types of wood we could use and explained the differences between them. That way I could make an informed decision, choose according to my budget, and see exactly where my money was being spent and the amount I was spending. I had always wanted natural, unpainted wood stairs, and that is what I got. A lovely golden cedar oil base stain and sealer with non-skid additive and I have the nicest stairs in the park. Greg also leveled them (they were not level when I hired him), removed the ugly metal runners from the treads and sides, and ensured that everything was within code. I cannot stress enough how friendly, knowledgable and professional he is. His rates are more than reasonable, he is a pleasure to work with, and I would encourage you to give him a call for your next project. Greg is also replacing some flex pipe for me to bring my copper pipes up to code. A man of many talents, I am more than happy to recommend him to friends, neighbors, family and Thumbtack users.

This guy is a genius! His ideas are creative and save you money. So far, he has fixed my glass door glides, my kitchen faucet, and patching a hole in a door, and repairing and painting rusty, peeling areas on my bathroom skylight. But as far as saving money, we came up with a unique idea for replacing my cheap closet doors with sturdier, artfull barnstyle doors, with a estimate within my means. Going forward with this project for sure.

Greg is very conscious in his work and goes the extra mile to get the job done, and is very creative in issues when they arrive. I would definitely hire him for other projects he is capable of doing.

Repaired a shelf and rod in our master closet that was not properly anchored with original installation with building contractor. Anchored 3 new bookshelves to the wall and replaced door knob face plates. He was very interesting to talk with, and although he arrived later than scheduled, he was able to complete what we asked.
