FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The base price is $30 per hour. It goes up to $40 if I have to work with multiple individuals or if I have to travel more than 20 minutes to reach the agreed location. (With 3 to 6 lessons scheduled per day in various parts of the Savannah, Pooler, Tybee Island and Richmond Hill areas I have to take into account travel time.) For the most part, if you're in Pooler, Tybee, or Richmond Hill, the price will be $40 per hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We discuss in Spanish (if you can already speak!), your goals, your struggles (if you're already aware of them) and your learning style. Then we set the pace around your interests. If you're ready to travel, we focus on the vocab and grammar for that. If you're wanting lessons for the kids, we focus on learning to read, singing songs and playing constructive games at the end of each lesson.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. in Spanish from Valdosta State University. While in undergrad I earned the endorsement to teach ESOL and received extensive training to teaching Spanish for grades K-12. In addition to studying Spanish, I studied German, Russian, French and Arabic.
