FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We can quote you a general pricing for square footage, and if you provide exact details, we can give you accurate pricing. We simply need the details of what needs to be done via phone conversation or, preferably, an in-person meeting. It is not accurate to "guesstimate" many jobs, although many people want a number immediately. Evaluating the property and/or plans is key; you simply will find something unexpected (or a less expensive option!).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Ideally, we would like to have a quick conversation on the phone or an in-person meeting to get an idea of the details your job encompasses. Many people want an "instant quote" on a remodel or new build, but square footage pricing can fluctuate according to the finish level. The finish level includes items such as cabinetry, flooring, countertops, appliances and more, and affect your pricing. We can also "value engineer" your plans to save you as much money as possible. After we evaluate your plans, we can give you a bid in typically around 48 hours. Once we have the terms and pricing worked out, we will set a schedule and a deposit is required at the start for supplies. Payment schedule will be drawn up according to the stages of building.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our General Contractor Matt Wolfe has a degree in Engineering from Arizona State University, and he is fully licensed in Arizona. You may check the Arizona Registrar of Contractors website for MAG Development. Matt is the Qualifying Partner, meaning he actually holds the qualification, passed all tests and is fully insured. He will be on your site, monitoring progress of the crews.
