- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a standard pricing system depending on the intensity of the work and the expected turnaround time. I will typically charge hourly rates for tutoring or consulting, and fixed-price for deliverables on writing/editorial projects. For more info, contact me directly.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a friendly one-on-one conversation in which we get to know each other a bit to determine if we will be a good fit for each other, and then discuss the terms for proceeding in detail. I want to establish a clear way of effectively communicating your needs and my terms, times and rates, services, etc. While I tend to present myself somewhat informally sometimes, I'm very serious about having a clear understanding of our arrangement up front.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Oh man, where to begin? My entire career has been in education and communications: I've worked in community college administration, tutored for several years, taught at the University of Washington, earned two masters degrees, mastered multiple disciplines...the list goes on. Essentially, everything I've ever done.
