FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In the studio, private lessons average about 85, so taking it to your home, I charge about 15 extra for my time and travel. I do offer discounts if you sign up for a series of 4 classes. I'm offering a New Student Special. 4 classes, 75 each, so 300, and I've knocked off the time and travel for all of the classes, a savings of $80, or $15 per class. Group classes in the studio are ranging from 12-20. I can also apply a New Student Special to that, dropping the price down, but this should be discussed over the phone. The number of students, as well as how long of a class, and location with my time and travel will be taking into consideration.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After my potential student and I have decided we are going to move forward, I will then ask for a 20 min phone discussion, finding out a few basics about the person and why they are interested in Yoga, if they have any experience. I will ask them if they have any personal goals, tell them about the types of yoga, and, what type of class I can set up for them, I will give you options, I know several different types. I will ask them if they are interested an any of the yoga philosophies, I offer references, books, webpages, or I can alway give articles I have found. If you want to practice meditation at the end of class. Very important, I need to know of any injuries, or chronic illness they may have. Very often gentle yoga will benefit almost any chronic illness. If I feel the person, is too fragile, I will then ask them to talk to their Dr, first
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my first Yoga Teaching Certification at White Lotus in Santa Barbara, that was many years ago :-) I have taken many workshops with different well known, fabulous teachers. I have taken segments in other teacher trainings. I will always be a student of yoga & meditation and I love to then offer the gifts that I have learned, as a teacher, in my classes or private yoga sessions.
