FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
With the exception of the initial free consultation which is 15 minutes, sessions are $100.00 per hour. Payment is due prior to the start of each session, and payment can be made as outlined in the coaching agreement. Note: Please also note that I do not take any kind of insurance for my services.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After the initial consultation, the client and I discuss what their life looks like currently and how they envision it. We decide on goals and from there we plan out attainable, realistic smart steps and try to identify any possible pitfalls. As the process continues, we continue to move forward on the steps and evaluate them as we go. While it’s important to know our background and history, the majority of our time together is typically working on mindfulness, changing habits, communication, trust issues, coping skills, understanding empathy, social issues, parenting, self-esteem/confidence, conflict resolution and more.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an MS Degree in General Psychology and I am currently working to complete an MA Degree in Counseling. I also hold my BS Degree in Legal Studies. I am a member in good standing of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and I am a SHRM-CP and PHR certified Human Resources and Employee Relations professional with several years of professional coaching and guidance. I am the administrator for Mothers Erased (a parental alienation group) and I am a moderator for Endometriosis Support, a large group spanning women's systemic and reproductive health issues which impact their relationships, work, and many other aspects of their lives. Through this work I have coached many individuals which has led me to my current career. I have also worked privately/personally as a consultant for disabled adults. I have been certified through Franklin Covey Leadership and I follow the prominent author Daniel Pink, regarding Autonomy, Mastery and Purpose, as well as Pauline Boss for her groundbreaking work as a scientist-practitioner. Dr. Boss is the principal theorist in the study of ambiguous loss. Her method is designed to help us learn to live with unresolved, or, frozen grief. I like to add that I am a veteran of the United States Navy and I have two honorable discharges. I am proud of this experience because it was an opportunity to give back to my country and learn responsibility and leadership in my transition from a teenager to an adult. After the loss of my own daughter who I grieve daily, I became very ill, and throughout my journey of recovery, I have been able to use much of what I have learned to help focus and redirect my life, regain my inner strength and confidence, and realize my dreams of helping people overcome life's challenges and adversities.
