FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$50-$75 an hr plus materials. With flexibility on set bids. This greatly depends on job size and scope of work. Most small jobs such as fixture install, device replacement, and minor interior additions are usually a flat rate. More often then not a job walk is necessary to give a complete and reasonable assessment of the proposed project.Especially when minor or major projects involving multiple trades are to be considered.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Greet them, introduce myself, and ask the customer what they work goals are versus cost and code requirements. Next, discuss, in detail, the scope of work. Make sure all options for the job have been evaluated and all avenues of work brought to light. If the customer is then willing to move foward, I would discuss necessary project materials, permits, and labor. If the customer is satitisfied with my proposal, I arrange a scheduled time to begin and end the project. This greatly depends on job size, the customers schedule, and my current work load. The final touch is to secure a signed work order for all proposed work, material, and cost. Of course, should the project be minor, a service invioce after completion is all I require.
