- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on the work involved and the complexity. I offer discounts on repeat jobs and referrals made to other businesses. For example, Top ad agencies charge $5,000 for a logo. This cost involves layers of approvals to make sure your company is protected before you print it on office stationery, apparel, promotional materials, and paraphernalia. This cost can be cut to $1,000 if it involves similar layers. You get to keep $4,000 in your pocket. Ad agencies charge you for overhead costs like building rent, overdone research layers, and office interdepartmental activities (regardless of whether it helps your business or not) and staff member salaries. A regular logo based on its levels of complexity can start from $275 to $500 or fall somewhere in between, based on what is required. But, remember, this is a one-time investment so your company can get an identity and establish itself. I offer discounts based on multiple jobs and referrals given to other businesses to become my clients.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. I believe in a face to face meeting with the customer. 2. Getting to know each other and understanding what the customer wants is a crucial step in delivering the right product. 3. Orders for print or promotional materials are discussed. Cost is based on quantity. Discounts are given based on multiple orders. 4. Payment is made once the design is approved by you, the client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
1. Graphic Design - 15 years of work experience, using InDesign, Photoshop, and CorelDraw. 2. Double Masters in English and American Literature - helps with content and copywriting, Spell checking errors, delivering clarity in text and communications. (University of Houston & Pondicherry University) Two time Gold Medalist Honors student in Masters and Masters of Philosophy, Pondicherry University, India. 3. 12 years of experience working with 2 local Houston newspapers, experience with publishing local magazines, perfume catalogs (4 yrs). 4. 12 years of experience working with local businesses, helping them establish their business identity. (Doing freelance work for them). 5. 22 years of Customer Service experience, with 5 years of work experience at Sysco Foods, Houston, Texas.
