Emily Pinckney Dance

Introduction: Recently graduating from Humboldt State with a degree in Dance Performance and Dance Science , Emily possesses over 20 years of progressive dance experience. Her dance history includes traditional staples such as ballet, jazz, and modern and ranges to popular current-day dances such as hip hop, lyrical, and African dance. During her time at HSU, Emily became a main choreographer and performed for the HSU Contemporary Dance Company. Vice President of the dance club, she planned, performed in, and coordinated multiple dance events. She traveled with her tour group through Northern California and trained students of different dance levels in Graham and Duncan styles of modern dance. At Studio 6, Emily is bringing modern and lyrical technique courses and fun upbeat hip hop classes for all dance levels! Emily is excellent at working with several different levels of dancer. She has decades of experience in multiple styles and has a tremendous capability of helping others understand elements of dance while having a fun time in the process.
