FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard prices are: 30 minute shoot, 1 outfit, that comes with 5 edited photos is $50 1 hour shoots with 2 outfits, comes with 15 edited photos is $90 2 hour shoots, 3-4 outfit changes, comes with 40 edited photos is $150
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, I generally begin by asking then what they want their photos to say about them. If my customer is looking for a professional headshot, if a model is looking for new pictures to add to their portfolio, or even if it is just a student looking for some new cool photos to add to their social media, I will choose spots for photoshoots designed around what they are looking for, give suggestions of what they should wear, and then we plan a time for the shoot! At the shoot, for however long you decide to take pictures with me for, we will constantly be changing poses, moving to capture the best light and just generally having a good time! I take a lot of pictures during shoots because when reviewing the photos with a customer they could think that in one photo their hand looks weird in a position, but since I was continuously shooting three photos from that one their hand moved and they love the shot! So, that is the one you choose for me to edit! I generally have a 2-3 day turn around for the photos, meaning that we would have a shoot and I would devote countless hours to make sure that the quality of the photo is prime due to my proficiency with my photo editing software.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My training has all come from trial and error driven by my passion of taking photos! I have been around professional photography all my life, because my two sisters both did beauty pageants and modeling, so I would tag along for their photoshoots! I would be standing right next to the photographers, asking them questions about lighting, angles, and what poses work and which ones don't! The main things I've learned through speaking to the other people in this work force is that you can never take too many photos. After an hour photoshoot, I could have anywhere from 200 to 400 photos that were taken. Of which I would sort through with the customer to see which you like the best, and then I would get to editing the photos on my computer.
