This has been a terrible experience. He said all the right things to secure the job. He gave us one price of $4.75 LF then inflated it later to $6.00 LF ($1890). Indicated that the $4.75 did not include painting. Learned a little too late that his charges are above and beyond what bigger established companies charge. Industry standard is $4.00 LF including painting. Work was shotty ( we have hundreds of pictures to show poor workmanship). We did not get what we requested which was 5.25 inch baseboards with shoe moulding . Instead he did what he wanted to do. There are problems with every piece of moulding he installed. Rarely did he use putty and when he did, he did not sand it, so lumps appear throughout and he just painted over. Painted boards stuck together, he pried them apart which pulled the paint off and caused large raised blotches that he didn't sand down to make smooth. He just installed them and painted over the problem areas which you can clearly see. No doubt this is going to peel off at some point. There are chips in the moulding. He smeared caulking on our newly installed floors and freshly painted walls. The moulding he installed in the closet is a mess and he didn't bother to paint it. Several areas were not caulked or painted. He does not have the experience he claims to have.

Sincerely Ms. Henry, I did not take nor force you into anything .. I have a document which was signed by Felishia Henry, agreeing to the price, size and linear footage of what was to be done. I have told Ms. Henry if she didn't like anything I will rip it out , reinstall it and hire a separate painter to finish at no extra cost, which she refused. I have emails saying she does not want me to finish and she will pay me $4 a linear foot plus pieces not installed and we will relinquish all obligations on both parties. But also, I have an email saying she will pay me for 165ft. of it when indeed 315ft. was installed, and another saying she is retracting all offers.. Now Thumbtack was aware of this situation way prior to her breaching her word, twice. I 've had 3 customers personally call me when they had seen this comment asking me what happened? So I will just say what I told them so that ALL can see as what Ms. Henry has intending.. I said, " This is all unfinished work that she kept me from finishing because of her tile guy. I have not received not $1 , from Ms. Henry, She placed a bad review on me over unfinished work and the fact she hasn't paid a cent of any kind? . I do everything in my power to deliver The Best Customer Service their is. And I believe that's something we all can appreciate, as well as great finish carpentry of course. So I say to all who reads this as well as my past satisfied customers, " Please, judge me by my One bad customer. For I swear on my own children, I was doing everything in my power to deliver that customer service to Mr. & Ms. Henry. But I failed, so please know all the facts before casting judgments. I am sorry and Thank you everyone.
