- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$1k-$2k for a long novel or one that needs a lot of help, or $8 per 1000 words. I can be flexible for broke writers (having been one myself!)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to edit one chapter as a free sample. This gives me a chance to assess your style and abilities. You will consult with me on direction, issues, fee, etc.until we see eye to eye. I then complete the rest of the assignment. Half the fee is paid upfront, half upon completion - but only after you and I are both satisfied.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA from Brown University. I devoured the dictionary as a child. I read a lot, always keeping one eye attuned to language.
