OnDemand was not prepared as a landscaping service. They did not have their own truck for hauling landscaping tools and equipment. They arrived four hours late. Before they visited I explained to them my lawn area was several thousand square feet. They arrived with a rented lawn mower that was totally inadequate. (They must've rented it from Toys-R-Us.) A first grader (about six years old) was part of the crew and they had him attempting to mow but I stopped them abruptly before they destroyed my front lawn. They mowed most of the front lawn, but not all of it, since I realized they did not know what they were doing. The rear lawn is at least twice the size of the front, so I instructed them to just stop, clean-up and go. They didn't get paid. I am appalled that they are on Thumbtack. I cannot imagine why OnDemand thought it was ok to bring a first-grader for such a demanding job. Worst, they expected him to operate the lawnmower. Drop OnDemand from your website

Had an appointment at 11am. They showed up at 2:45pm. They come in a U-Haul trailer with just a lawn mower; no weedwacker, no edger, no other equipment. Aside from showing up 4 hours later, they were ill-equipped to the job. I ended up not using them. I’m all for giving new businesses a chance but be prepared and show up on time....

Always read as many reviews as possible. That's even with shopping for other services or items.
