FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Please visit the Services page of my website to see a full list of prices and descriptions. Travel fees may apply under certain circumstances. I offer discounts for booking more than one client. That will typically be reflected in the initial quote that is sent to you. Other discounts may apply for special events such as professional photoshoots and fashion shows.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always start out with an initial consultation. How in depth the consultation is depends on the intensity of the event. For one-time events like prom or birthday parties, I only ask a couple questions about your skin type, average amount of makeup, and desired makeup style. More in depth questions arise during bridal consultations. I would ask things about your daily makeup and skin care routines in addition to the basic questions listed above. These consultations occur at the beginning of each new customer interaction and can last anywhere from 5-20 minutes, again, depending on the event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started out as a self-taught makeup artist, but attending makeup classes through well-known brands has helped to solidify my knowledge. I have since been hired as a freelance artist with MAC Cosmetics where I get to work with new clients and new faces every day.
