Dixon's General Contractors
About this pro
I hired Dixon's General Contractors for handyman services. I had several things around the house that I needed help getting done. I thought I was going to have to break them up and get them done at different times but when the Dixon's came out to go over everything and got me my estimate I could afford to get it all done. I don't know of many contractors that would have taken the time to help me out like they did in getting me a price that I could afford so that I could get the work done that I needed. I actually had two other companies come out and let me tell you there was no comparison between their prices and the Dixon's. They are always so respectful and polite. They also were very clean in their work. I think the parts of the house they worked in might have been cleaner when they left than it was before they got here. HAHA I would highly recommend this company to any one for any job.Jan 9, 2017

The Dixon's did several projects for us. We were so pleased with the first one that we trusted them to do more. First one was to install a railing on the pathway to the boathouse. I don't see well so that was the only possibility for me to go to the boathouse. The job was well done, in time and reasonably priced. Then we had a door installed between the guest bedroom and its bathroom. as well as a chair rail in the dining room and living room. Then the cleaning and fixing of the outside buildings, changing the roof of the boathouse, then the huge deck at the back of the house.Jan 8, 2017
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I do not. I price by the job. I find that is best for both me and the customer. I have did a lot of business with customers that have hired a contractor by the hour and then say there was a lot of hours getting paid for and not a lot of work to show for those hours. I estimate the job. That is the total price whether it takes one day or one week you pay the price you pay for everything done on that estimate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First we talk over the phone to set up a time to come out and give estimate on work they are wanting done. If they have questions while on the phone I will talk with them to better understand their need as well as make them feel more secure about the options they have. If an estimate is scheduled I will go out and look and get measurements and make a supply list of all materials the job will require. If the customer hasn't picked their own supplies yet and need help with that I will assist in that as well. I can help locate a variety of materials and give them different options to choose from. Then once all is figured out on customers end I will get the estimate worked up and we can go from there. Most estimates are given on the same evening I go to appointment, so there is not long wait period for the customer to worry what happened or if they are even going to get the estimate. The best part is all estimates are FREE...
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have over 15 years in the construction business. I started young and loved it and it has just stuck with me over the years. I have two years college and look forward to getting more someday.
