Introduction: New to thumbtack, but I've been self employed for 19 years. We are licensed/bonded/insured. From foundations to roofs, repairs/replacement are what we do. We do a lot of work getting houses ready for the market, deal with any home inspection punch list(s) or of course help any homeowners in general. For medium to smaller jobs we don't ask for any up front money (deposit) until the job is completed and the customer is happy. I employ family, work from my home, debt free so my overhead is very low. That always makes me very competitive with pricing. I don't just drop off workers, I'm primarily the one doing the work with helpers were needed. Co.'s brag about the millions of years experience their company has, then just drop off guys/laborers with a couple months experience, very misleading.
