FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If you are looking for professional results, and a personal touch, you have come to the right place. I’ve been writing and professionally published for 25 years and I love writing! I look forward to providing you with quality writing services and helping you feel confident with your writing needs. I like to provide coaching to my clients to help them understand the writing process and to make sure all their needs are met. Sometimes we talk on the phone, other times we meet one-on-one and I ask my clients many questions and take lots of notes! It's important for me that my clients feel confident and comfortable with the writing process and the style. After all, writing is very personal and we all have our own unique voices.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've worked as a writer for double-Emmy Award winning screenwriter, Simon Moore (Traffic, The Quick and the Dead, Gulliver's Travels), on his project "This Is the Frequency" and I re-wrote dialog with Director James P. Lay (Fight Club, Jeepers Creepers, Meet Joe Black) on a TV show pilot called Voodoo Kitchen in 2015. In the Summer of 2016, I worked as screen- writer and actor in PinkCity alongside Kether Donohue (Pitch Perfect, You’re the Worst, Grease Live!) That Fall, I accepted a role in an independent TV series called The Dead Sul- livan Show. The Spring of 2017 found me screenwriting and producing a film called Su- perstitious Man with Serbian Director, Alek- sandar Adzic. My screenplay Missing Lunch, was commissioned by Producer Andy Samarasena and will be produced in 2017. I also worked as a screenwriter on Inside the Grace, directed by Aleksandar Adzic. I've worked alongside Max Skrein of Skrein Productions on several com- mercial projects as a screenwriter, Unit Pro- duction Manager, Costumer, and Director. Some of these projects include: The Hunt, and Red Bull Gives Wings. My news and feature articles have appeared in: The Acorn Newspapers of Simi Valley and Camarillo, and The VCReporter. My poems have appeared in: Sow's Ear Poetry Re- view, A! Magazine for the Arts, Sketches of Home, Ventura Arts Council's 40ish Around 40ish, and Askew Poetry Journal. I also teach creative poetry-writing workshops to middle and high school students in Ventura County through California Poets in the Schools, one of the oldest and most established writer-in-residency programs in the country and fiction writing workshops through Ventura County's Children's Celebration of the Arts. Commissioned by Ventura Arts Council, I published a student anthology called Tasty Little Samples featuring 70 of over 350 students that I taught during creative workshops at Balboa Middle School and Buena High School in Ventura, California.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been writing since I was four years old. I had my first poem published at the tender age of five in the Sow's Ear Poetry Review. I've been writing ever since!
