For those of you debating whether or not to have your makeup professionally done for a big night out, photo shoot or other occasion where you'd like to look your best- DO IT! While the idea of paying someone to do do your makeup (when you may often times do it yourself) may dissuade you, in the end it is completely worth it as your mind will be at ease knowing that your beautification needs are in the hands of a highly skilled professional - and that your photos will turn out beautifully. Allison is a pro, and her prices are very reasonable. I hired Allison to do my make up for a photo shoot. She did an absolutely phenomenal job - we came up with the perfect look that captured the vision I had in mind. Allison is a good communicator, very straightforward, and really educated me throughout the process on the techniques and products that work best for my skin type, etc. I was adamant that I did not want to look 'over-done' - didn't want to go overboard with the makeup - and she ended up respecting that, but still giving me the perfect amount so that the photos turned out just as I would have liked them. I still receive so many compliments on my makeup in the photos - Allison really made me look AMAZING!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
All appointment inquiries can be made via email. Once we have settled on the appointment details, I will send a contract and the client then will able to make a deposit to confirm her appointment. If I am working with a bridal client, I like to have a discovery call where I get to talk to the bride via phone, get her vision for her wedding day, and discuss what services would be best for her.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have spent the last two years learning from the best artists in the industry such as Sam Fine, Renny Vasquez, and Nicky Posley. I also continue to work with my makeup artist mentor, Tiyanna Robinson, a makeup and entrepreneurial leader in the makeup business.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began my professional career as a makeup artist when I began working for MAC Cosmetics in 2011. After leaving MAC to finish my law degree, I began working as a freelance artist.
