FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For weddings, I like to have an in person or phone consultation to get to know the bride and groom, and their style/personality, wedding details, what important photos they want taken on their wedding day, any questions they have, payment options, etc. Once they decide to book with me, I have them sign a wedding contract. I like to check in with the bride & groom via email, phone, or text, one to two times before the wedding just to confirm plans for the day. During the wedding I will take a mixture of candid shots of the bride, groom, and wedding guests, photos of all the details, as well as posed photos of the bride & groom, and the wedding party. (This can vary depending on the preferences of the bride & groom) After the wedding I will have the images edited, retouched, and in an online gallery for the client 4-6 weeks after the wedding. The gallery is left up for six months to allow digital download of the images and to allow time to order prints and canvases, and then the gallery will be archived. A gallery can always be "un-archived" for a small fee at the request of the bride & groom if more prints and canvases need to be ordered at a later date.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a photography fanatic since High School! I received my Bachelor of Fine Art (with Photography emphasis) in 2013. I have owned my own Photography business since 2010 and have shot dozens of weddings as well as family photos, HS senior portraits, newborns, children, maternity portraits, pets, and engagement photos.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started getting into photography a little before High School. Initially I was most interested in landscape, fine art, and film photography, but soon discovered my passion for weddings and portraiture! My background as a landscape and fine art photographer has been so valuable as many of the same principles carry over to help me produce beautiful and unique portraits.
