FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I connect with clients by phone. Our first session is all about logistics and ground rules to get us both on the same page. I use the book Fearless living as a jumping off point for our sessions. There is some weekly homework that is negotiable. I send an email after each session with the next week's homework assignment. Our sessions will generally be 1 hour long, although on rare occasions we might go over up to 1/2 hour to complete a key concept/discussion. I recommend a minimum of 12 sessions to complete the cycle.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a retired nurse with 50 years of experience in outpatient, Home Health and Hospice care. I have a Masters degree in Nursing from the University of Washington, Seattle. As a Nurse, I did a lot of client coaching only we never called it that. I worked with Chronic pain clients who wanted more out of life than sitting on the sidelines. I have been involved with the Fearless Living Institute since 2011. I enrolled in their Coach training program in spring 2016 and graduated in spring 2018.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved working one on one with clients. I loved seeing them blossom and step out and accomplish things they never thought was possible. As I was reaching retirement I knew I wanted to do something a bit different. So I looked into Coaching and the rest is history.
