- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer customers a no fee Diagnostic service and a low hourly rate for desktop and laptop repairs. If a repair is estimated at more than 4 hours a flat fee will be offered instead of the hourly rate. No Fee for estimates. All fees for parts needed for repair must be prepaid at time of service agreement. Always a 90 day guarantee on labor / Parts guarantee by manufacturer. 10% discount off the first repair for all new customers. 10% discount for teachers always.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically meet with the customer, either in their home or office or at a site convenient for them if the issue is with a laptop. After diagnosing the problem on site or at my shop I will let the customer know what steps need to be taken to fix the issue. I'll also offer an estimate for the repair and explain about any parts or software that needs to be ordered. Once the issue is solved and testing is completed I will deliver the fixed computer to the customer and make sure they are satisfied.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over ten years hands on experience doing on-site and in-shop repairs for Macs and PCs. I have a degree in Computer Support with A+ certification. I am a member of The Association of Computer Repair Business Owners and the Association of Computing Machines.
