Introduction: I create magazine style portraits, headshots, branding, boudoir, family, and seniors. I have 20 years experience and a full service studio in Carlsbad Village. I absolutely love to see the confidence booster that the portrait experience gives my clients. I can see them blossom right in front of my lens. I love , love, love my pictures taken by Ann Landstrom! It was such a positive, fun and uplifting experience. Ann really took the time to help me decide what to wear and how to pose and generally get me to relax and open up to the camera. If I tell you I am uncomfortable in front of the camera that is an understatement and I truly believe you have to have a good rapport with the person behind the lens or it is reflected in the expression and entire composition of the photograph. Ann made me feel sexy and light hearted. I did my boudoir shoot shortly after I was divorced and trust me I did not feel sexy. But Ann made me feel so good about myself and that yes I was still a sexy vibrant woman. It was just the morale boost I needed. I also did a personal portrait with Ann and a couple of business portraits. I cannot recommend Ann Landstrom enough, her work is amazing and she is so fun and uplifting to be with.

As a profession photographer I needed someone who I knew would represent me and my style on camera. With out a doubt I knew I could trust Ann's experience and professional knowledge to create beautiful images. Not only do I love my photographs but I got to see myself for the first time as a more mature woman and I feel great about it. This is a great gift to give to yourself if you are hitting milestones or just need a little pick me up. The entire experience from start to finish was relaxing and helped build my confidence that I could get infront of the camera. I highly recommend Ann, she is incredibly helpful with posing, does a beautiful detailed job editing images and engaging while helping me choose which photos I wanted the most!

Ann is an AMAZING photographer! She is talented, dedicated and kind.Is the photographer THAT important? YES! A nice camera is just thatnice if you dont have the talents associated with producing portraits and retouching. Remember, you need to exist in photos, as a legacy for your family. You cant frame your iPhone.When looking for a photographer to take my round number birthday photos, I researched for six months. I found that I wanted magazine style portraits, then I searched for a photographer. I found several, in other states, then found Ann, who was in the Southern California area. She photographs in the style I wanted. Not only that, she made me look 20 pounds lighter, knowing how to use just the right camera angles and lighting.Two months later, I had her photograph me, my 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters. It was a day of pure joy! We played dress up, using her extensive wardrobe, smiled and laughed, spending a special day together.If you are looking for a photographer that is perfect in every way, choose Ann. She is my photographer for life!!

I had a wonderful experience with Ann's Photography. She has years of profesional experience in the field. She truly has an amazing eye that captures your beauty and she was mentored by one of the top 4 photographers in portrait shooting. Her technic is on point and she makes you feel so comfortable while taking pictures. If you have never in your life done a photoshoot, don't worry, she knows how to pose you and what angles look best for your body type. The pictures I was presented with were the most beautiful photos I have ever seen of myself. I think every woman needs a chance to do this, not only to feel amazing, but to have a keepsake to pass on your your future generations. I booked a boudoir shoot with Ann from a Groupon I had seen. It was supposed to be a gift for my husband for Valentine's Day. It turned out to be a gift for myself. There are a ton of Boudoir photographers out there, and Ann is incredibly beyond that. In my opinion, most Boudoir photography styles are comparable to a Penthouse or Hustler magazine. Ann's style is Victoria's Secret. She is a true artist and professional. On the flip side, she understands that a woman may have insecurities and lifts you up- making you feel empowered and beautiful! My husband and I came together to view the photos that were taken. We were in shock on how AMAZING and stunning all the photos were!! We picked out more photos than we were expecting, and have plans to purchase more as we are able to. This was the ultimate photography experience. I recommend it to anyone that seeks timeless, gorgeous photos. Whether you are looking for boudoir, family photos, portraits, she is THE BEST! She has lifelong clients over here.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Everything is on my website annphotography.com The session fee starts at $200 depending on your session and that includes, wardrobe consultation, photo session, and signature retouching. Full hair & makeup service by a professional stylist can be added at an additional cost.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with an in person or Skype complementary consultation to get to know how you want to be photographed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have attended photography school and studied under Sue Bryce, an international know portrait photographer and educator best in the industry, I have also taken workshops from playboy photographers to learn more boudoir posing and lighting. I constantly research and do seminars and educate my self in my field to keep updated.
