I hired Anna to do a re-brand of my law firm, to redesign my logo and website, and to draft content to increase my SEO rankings. I spoke to her during the free one-hour consultation, and she brilliantly outlined a vision for my marketing that got me very excited. I paid her $13,678, and the project completion date was December 31, 2015. It is now the end of March 2016, and the project is nowhere near completion. Anna provided work product that was sloppy and unprofessional. She farmed out the work to low-cost and inexperienced contractors like Wicked Plum Writing and Andrea Beltrami. She charged me many times what I could have hired these freelancers for and passed off their substandard work with no compunction. In fact, the work was laughable. The content was just awful, with nothing of any value anywhere in the entirety of the pages provided. She claims that she was not hired to provide legal-level writing, but what she provided would be both an SEO disaster (she does not know what she is doing there) and would convey an incredibly unprofessional image. The design work was quite disappointing, but she claims that it is great. Everyone I showed it to said it looked like someone who knows nothing about design did it. I just couldn't put it on my website or anywhere else because it is too embarrassing. There was a reason why I did not hire low-cost freelancers to do this work for me, and it was to avoid the cheesy look, feel and tone that low-quality this type of work conveys. I have been forced to complete the project on my own because I received nothing usable from her, and I spent my marketing budget on her. Anna has also been stonewalling any attempts to resolve the situation. She insists that the work is great and refuses to issue any kind of refund. If you would like proof of what I am talking about, I am more than happy to discuss or show you the shoddy work product she provided. I honestly feel scammed.
