FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually do pricing on a project to project basis, that is to say that I do not do an hourly rate, but I give a price for the entire project up front. I do take the time it would take me to complete the project into consideration.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before I talk to the client, I write down a series of questions to ask. These usually include dimensions of project, what colors to be used, timeline for completion, etc. I prefer to talk to the client over the phone. I gather all photos, text and information needed before I begin work on the project. I will create two or three drafts to send the client for them to chose from and to see if I am going in the right direction with the project. I then continue with the one draft that the client has selected and I work on the project until the client is satisfied.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in studio art and have 9 years of experience in the design industry.
