Chad is Awesome!! The ultimate definition of a handy man. I was a little hesitant to hire him at first because of his lack of reviews.. So he gave me a couple references of past customers. Everyone had great things to say about him. So let this review count as many. The first thing I liked about Chad was his honesty. He told me it was very likely my kitchen would be torn apart for several days(previous bidders had said 1-2 days). But from there he did everything possible to prove himself wrong! He worked very late two days in row.. Did an incredible job on the floors..and went above that by fixing/redoing things other contractors/trades had left unfinished. My only complaint is that I wish I would have found him at the beginning of my remodel several weeks ago. Needless to say we would highly recommend him. We'll definitely be using him again!

Kiara is very kind, It was a pleasure to work for her family on this project. She even fed me dinner a few times and had drinks available during the project. I wish all of my customers were this awesome. Thanks for the opportunity to work with you Ki'.

Unfortunately, it did not go well with Chad at all. Chad and I recently agreed that he would complete a small project in my home. But immediately after he purchased the materials to complete the job using my money and provided no receipt or proof of purchase for the $261.08 transaction at Home Depot, he walked off the job and lied to me about why he left. His reason for walking off the job? He claimed a family emergency. There was no family emergency. If there was one, he would have given me some sort of detail when pressed on the issue. When I asked him if he was still in the area, he refused to answer saying that he was not my employee. Of course, Chad was still in the area. I was only able to get this information by calling him from a number he wouldn’t recognize because he had immediately blocked my number so it would only ring straight to his voicemail. If you are looking for excuses, lots of wasted time and money, and on top of that an incomplete project, then yes, Chad is your guy!

We exchanged emails and spoke on the phone to confirm the project but he never showed up at the arranged time to do the job nor did he call to postpone. He has not responded to my emails...

I just noticed this. I do not recall being hired for this job. i do recall discussing the project but unfortunately did not receive the e-mails mentioned. It is possible they went to spam/unknown sender box and I missed them. I will strive to remedy this in the future. Sorry we did not connect.

Chad was so great to work with! He solved all my problems, worked hard and was knowledgeable about every task I threw his way. He was so patient and worked around my needs and schedule. Definitely would recommend! I will use him again in the future for all my handyman needs!

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I always loved working with my hands and overcoming challenges. I had an opportunity to work on a neighbors garage loved the physical aspect as well. It just fit me and I ran with it. 25 years later I still love the sense of accomplishment of a good days work and the relationships that are build through working on so many different projects.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Get to know the professional working on your project. Sometimes personality conflicts can make a big difference in how the project turns out. It should be considered professional courtesy on both parties to engage in honest dialect regarding this. Ultimately both would be happier working with someone else if such a disconnect is present. I have only had 2 such incidents in my 25 years and the first one was miserable and unproductive. I declined the second project and recommended and alternative to the customer and built a very good relationship as a consultant with him that has lasted many years.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

In general we love our work and thoroughly enjoy working with people. We also like getting paid a fair wage for our efforts. The construction industry tends to have a larger than expected cut-throat aspect to it and it can be hard to make ends meet when trying to compete in such an environment.
