FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My basic fee is $650. This includes all of the meetings, rehearsal (if necessary) and ceremony. Please see above for details about my wedding preparation and planning process. If there is financial hardship, I will do my best to find a fee which meets your needs. There is also a $25-$50 travel fee for weddings more than 35 miles from Scranton, PA.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

It is important that your wedding meets your needs and is not just a "cookie cutter"ceremony. The basic planning and preparation process includes: 1) 3-4 meetings(1- 2 hours each) These meetings will focus on: - creating the ceremony, discussing any issues/concerns - learning about the two of you as individuals and as a couple - if there are any issues which concern either of you, and/or me, we will discuss those further in order to help you discuss how to better collaborate and communicate. Please note: though I have a degree in Counseling Psychology, that is not my role here. I will only be focusing on basic premarital counseling. 2) facilitating a rehearsal, if necessary, at a mutually agreed upon time. 3) Coordination with wedding planer, photographers, musicians, etc if necessary 4) Officiating at ceremony. Please let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing from you.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

MA, M.Ed. in Psychological Counseling from Columbia University-Teachers College Rabbinic Ordination from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in Wyncote, PA
