Elegance by Maritza
Introduction: Elegance by Maritza serves the Richmond and Tidewater areas of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
We provide custom formal attire alterations (i.e, bridal and men's formal attire), window treatments, pillows, cushions, oriental rug repair, and furniture reupholstery).
I began studying fashion design in 1967 at the Escuela La Igualdad in Valparaiso, Chile.
After moving to Richmond, I honed my experience while working during the early of years with Franco's Fine Clothier, Berry Burk, and Tiffany's Bridal.
I feel success is borne out of a sincere desire to meet my clients' needs by making each project a close collaborative effort.
I combine a creative passion with a love of design, fashion, and excellence to ensure elegant outcomes.

I contacted Maritza about making a duvet cover for me. We met at her workspace in the Fan to discuss my idea, and she had good suggestions for improving the design. Two weeks later, I had the finished product. Her skills go far beyond a simple job like this (to custom-made and tailored clothing, textiles for the home, and reupholstery), and I could not be happier with her work. I will definitely hire her again and recommend her!
