FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It really depends upon the project. Some smaller projects it is easier to assign a fixed price. Longer pieces, which may go through a number of edits, it might make more sense to assign an hourly rate. However, this is open to discussion between myself and the client, so that everyone feels they're getting a fair deal.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to work with new clients. Some people prefer to have the designer decide how things will look, others have a strong idea of what they'd like. It's great to get to know the customer a little and get a feel for how they like to work. Once we have a direction, I will often submit a few samples to choose from, so that there will be fewer edits down the road. Communication is key!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in English, so I have some decent writing skills, if you need help with that. I also have an Associates Degree in Graphic Design, along with some coursework in tv graphics, HTML, web design and social media marekting
