I had a mold problem that was created by a previous leak I had and Mr Swackhammer was very professional and treated the problem for me. The job was completed very well and in a timely manner which was very important to me as this was for a rental property. I would highly recommend Green Home Solutions if you have a mold problem like myself.

I'm a realtor. One of my clients was in urgent need of mold remediation for her ceilings and walls. Contacted 3 mold treatment companies before Green Home Solutions, the other companies either had ridiculous rate or had very inflexible schedule. The rate provided by Tim was very reasonable and he was super helpful in terms of educating my client. He was flexible in terms of service timing. His technicians were punctual and professional. We had an odor problem stemming from mold/mildew in the basement. Green Home Solutions sent a person out to inspect and I was sent a quote that included eliminating the odor first and then eliminating the causes of it on a second trip. I was willing to pay for both services but asked if we could just eliminate the source of the problem and not bother with the odor treatment. I was told that we should do both. They came out to get rid of the odor and they told us to move all artwork away from where they were spraying. We were also told that the chemicals they were spraying were organic and would not harm anything. They didn't say to cover furniture but we did cover things like the TV. Turns out that the wooden floors had so much chemical on them that you could barely walk on them as they were so slippery. We had to get down on our hands and knees to clean it all off. We had to clean the floors 3 times to remove all of it. Even though they said the chemicals were organic, we had 3 plants that lost their leaves and are close to dying. I did talk with them about it and they reduced the price. They did the second step and that eliminated the odor making me again question whether the first step was necessary. I feel that the actual work was done professionally and they came out quickly to eliminate the problem. I am not saying to not hire them. I am saying that if you do hire them make sure that you cover anything and everything that you don't want to have their chemicals on them and question what steps really need to be done.

    I was contacted recently by a realtor who had a home listed that was under contract and scheduled for a closing. A mold issue was detected less than 3 days prior to the scheduled closing. Everyone involved in the transaction thought that closing would need to be postponed and no one was happy. We were contacted and able to get out and resolve the issue without moving the closing date. Everyone was very happy with this resolution.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Find someone that is willing to take the time to explain the problem, the process they will use to resolve it, and what you should expect afterwards. Also, find a company that insists upon third party testing.
