FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a lifelong learner, addicted to TV makeover shows and online blogs. But as part of my retirement project, I also became a licensed home inspector. I let that expire, but I learned a lot about what it takes to get a home ready to sell, and what people should look for when they're buying a home.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always loved taking things apart and putting them back together. I was one of the original DIY-ers, and all of my personal projects were my pride and joy. When GE offered an early retirement package, I was ready to become an entrepreneur. The timing just worked.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have done a lot of closet reconfigurations, mostly because my clients have a lot of clothes! I also install a lot of reistats and timers and under-counter lighting. I have done my share of sheetrock repair and painting. I've also worked on a lot of doors -- installing new locks, leveling, refinishing.
