Introduction: I stand out because I successfully help students who perform on many different levels, who experience different learning challenges become successful, confident students. With a decade of experience teaching and tutoring young people, I specialize in helping students "catch up" by helping them relearn and better apply previously taught skills. I've helped 3rd graders who read on 1st grade and lower levels become grade- level readers. Likewise, I've help middle grade students who struggle dividing learn Algebra and improve their elementary skills. Likewise, I support students with attention and learning disabilities and each of these students improve and pass their current grade-level. I take great pride in watching students improve and regain confidence in themselves as learners. I appreciate helping them take ownership of their learning and becoming active in communicating what they understand and when they need support. Student growth and success motivates me to continue teaching and learning.
