Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I am a Chicago suburb-based calligrapher. My love for lettering began in college, when I wanted to learn to write my own wedding invitations. Since then, I've gradually began building up more knowledge and scripts to help others fulfill their visions. I have experiences with wedding envelopes, place cards and larger prints.

Lexie has been one of the best vendors I've worked with throughout the past almost two years of planning my wedding. She was incredibly understanding when last minute seating changes happened that were beyond my control. I can't recommend her highly enough.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I do calligraphy for both wedding stationary as well as nontraditional surfaces such as wood, glass, mirrors and so much more! Base pricing for wedding envelopes starts at $2/envelope. Price increases depending weight thickness and sheen of envelope! Please inquire for pricing of other items such as place cards, seating charts, bar signs, welcome signs, table numbers, etc.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I took two semesters of Calligraphy in college which is where my love of lettering began. I’ve studied Italic, Copperplate, Gothic and continue to learn more modern lettering today. I’m continually doing drills to help my form and gain more knowledge as I go!

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I took several courses on traditional calligraphy while in college. Soon after I started doing wedding calligraphy for my own wedding as well as for friends and family! I now do several different types of styles with both traditional ink and nib calligraphy as well as modern brush hand lettering!
