Introduction: My writing experience spans three decades. I am able to adapt to a variety of writing styles. I edit copy of many varieties, including technical, newspaper, magazine, blog sites and online catalogs. I love doing feature articles and have won awards for such writing. My interviewing and research skills are great, and I ask all questions pertinent to the piece on which I am working. Press releases, media kits, customized product articles, editorials, essays and straight news stories are among the types of writing I do to produce quality, first-rate, finished pieces. My pricing is reasonable and negotiable. Special prices for nonprofits and small businesses. My clients have included Triad Business Magazine, Thomasville Furniture, Lifeline Inc., Creative Loafing, Charlotte News and Observer, Greensboro News and Record, Thomas Baker Furniture, Endless Summer Outdoor Heaters, Troy Built Tillers, Greensboro Jewish Women's Federation. Private clients have included city council members, district court judges, state representatives, and business executives.

I have worked with Mary Coyne Wessling since 2000 on many projects. For several years she did all the marketing and design of materials for a non-profit theatre company whose board I served on. For four years she did much of the research for me in my consulting and executive search practice. And for the past four years she has worked with me on marketing materials and press releases in my role as an elected official. Mary is a skilled professional; she has excellent writing skills but understands the creative process as well. She is a delight to work with, understands and respects deadlines, and has met and exceeded all my expectations in the work she has completed for me.

Mary was a freelance writer for Creative Loafing, an alternative weekly in Charlotte, while I was editor. She was a delight to work with: smart, funny, could write nearly any kind of story and was honestly one of the only writers we had that never missed a deadline. A total pro.

Mary Wessling epitomizes professionalism....in her ability to communicate both verbally and written, along with her passion for doing her job, no matter what it takes. I supervised Mary for 5 years, and she was truly my go-to-person to assist in interviewing prospects, as well as assisting with and editing written reports for the District Court Judges. Her writing skills are exceptional. Her ability to communicate well with others is one of her greatest skills. Mary was a terrific supervisor of volunteers, and always went the extra mile to make sure our jobs were done well.
