Esther and Armando became members of our community almost instantly. During the month that they painted my classroom, they got to know nearly half the school. They were dearly missed once they left. The mural they did was very carefully planned and each detail was attended to. For example, my door was painted to look like the main entrance to the Lyric Stage Opera House. From the facade to the bricks, each inch of my door is realistically and beautifully shaded. Each poster was painted exactly to form. They even included little details my students suggested (like pizza rat!). Armando and Esther were there every possible hour we gave them, whether they were catching a cold or busy with other projects. They really worked tirelessly on this project. We were sad for them to leave once the beautiful mural was finished, and we look forward to working with them again!
